You’ll work in a small, experienced, cross-functional team where ideas and feedback are shared freely, and everyone’s input is encouraged and valued. Together we continuously learn new things, evolve and try to improve how we work and build our games.

You’ll develop backend systems that serve our players, such as chat, leaderboards, multiplayer, and more. You’ll own your features from planning through to release, including design, implementation, testing, and live operations.

You’ll closely collaborate with client devs, designers, and artists to ship features that land smoothly and reliably. You’ll build tools and workflows that speed up development and help teammates do their best work.

Together with the team you’ll keep the game live and stable by participating in on-call, solving bugs, and improving performance.

You’re an experienced backend developer who is fluent in Java and/or Kotlin. You’ve worked with live backend services before, and you’re comfortable operating cloud infrastructure (We use AWS).

You know how to troubleshoot complex issues in production environments and enjoy the mix of bug-fixing, fine-tuning, and forward-planning that comes with live operations.

You communicate clearly, ask questions, and enjoy working through problems with teammates from other disciplines. You’re self-directed but collaborative, happy to own your part of a feature while staying connected to the bigger picture. You care about the player experience, and you bring that mindset into technical discussions.

Our Berlin studio is in Mitte, with a hybrid working model. We work from the office Tuesdays and Fridays, to allow for closer collaboration and socializing, other days it's up to everyone where they feel most comfortable to work. We support hybrid work by supplying you with the right setup and tools.
