Angela Bassett war mit drei Preisen die große Gewinnerin der NAACP Image Awards, die am Wochenende zum 54. Mal von der Bürgerrechts-Organisation National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) vergeben wurden. Bassett wurde als Entertainer of the Year, als beste Nebendarstellerin in einem Kinofilm für ihre Rolle in „Black Panther: Wakanda Forever“ sowie als beste Hauptdarstellerin einer Dramaserie für ihre Rolle in „9-1-1“ ausgezeichnet.
